Typing, pasting and generally preparing our Newsletter is done by volunteers on top of the work with all the horses. Sandra, at APECS office facilities, prepares the final master sheets ready for copying by HB Office Services. HB Office Services have now moved the main office from Little Common to near Sedlescombe. For the last Newsletter Sandra had to get the master copies to Sedlescombe so for convenience dropped into Blackbrooks Garden Centre at Sedlescombe to ask if they would mind holding the envelope containing the masters, clearly marked, so that HB Office could pick them up later. “No problem” said one of the officials; “they’ll be safe with me.” When HB Office went round a short while later to collect the Master copies Blackbrooks had thrown them away indeed even burnt them! Subsequently when Brownbread spoke with the manager he said that he gets so much stuff coming through the post that he doesn’t bother to open it and just throws it away! Blackmark Blackbrooks! You caused our Charity a lot of anxiety, the Newsletter masters had to all be re-done, they had to be sent by special courier as they were now late and they ended up going out late. Contrast that company with a similar one like Sunnyrise Nursery in Battle who go out of their way to help us, have raised hundreds of pounds for us, held raffles for us and more. I know where I will be buying my Christmas flowers!
